The Island

A full international IB track, Montessori and Waldorf in the early years, a full day until 18:00.

Trinity

What the abbreviations mean

IGCSE / GCSE

Subject qualifications for pupils aged 14–16 and the basis for moving up to senior school.

AS / A Levels / IAL

Specialist qualifications for ages 16–19 leading to university entry.

IB PYP

The International Baccalaureate’s inquiry-based programme for the primary years.

IB MYP

The IB’s interdisciplinary programme for pupils aged roughly 11–16.

IB DP / CP

The academic Diploma Programme or the practice-oriented Career-related Programme.

Apolytirion

The Cypriot secondary-school leaving certificate, which can be combined with A Levels or the IB Diploma.
